My devices
Computers (laptops, desktop PCs)
"Pandemonica"
- ThinkPad 13 2nd Gen
- Intel i5-7200u, 16GB of RAM. Had to change the screen recently as old one cracked.
- 500GB NVMe SSD, running Fedora with KDE Plasma
"Marisa" (current)
- Current main, build partially on previous PC (case, HDD stayed)
- Ryzen 5600G, 16GB of RAM. Need to find a non-G Ryzen to put there actually.
- Probably the biggest upgrade I got, AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT with 12GB of VRAM.
- The same SilentiumPC Armis AR6 case, 1TB HDD for storage and 1TB NVMe for OS and software.
"Marisa" (depreciated)
- Previous main PC, mostly from parts I got from a friend.
- Intel Core i5-2400, 16GB of RAM.
- GPU is the weakest part, AMD Radeon HD 6770 with 1GB of VRAM.
- SilentiumPC Armis AR6 case, 128GB SSD for Windows 7 (not Linux because DAW and vidya), 1TB HDD for storage.
Retro computers
Commodore 64
- So that finally happened, I got a C64. Found cheap on Vinted with just the power supply (aftermarket, not the original one that can die taking the computer with it).
- Bought video cables (composite out of it looks weirdly good, I need to get LumaFix and check S-Video), built a Pi1541. Hours of fun playing games (IK+ my beloved), watching demos, listening to SID modules.
- Plans are to learn 6502 assembly, code some stuff on it. Maybe build a WiFi modem adapter and go online on some BBSes.
Commodore Amiga 500
- That also happened, although I had an Amiga 500 before but without anything so I never had it running. It arrived a month after the C64.
- Another Vinted find, this time from Finland. Guy wanted more because of the joysticks, which I didn't care about and asked if he can go lower without them.
I should've probably went even lower since he had no idea if it had a RAM expansion and top of the case is painted black and gold.
- Came with an original power supply, which started dying slowly after arriving (and some Finnish repair shop did some terrible stuff inside) so it was replaced with a Meanwell PSU. Also the modulator with cables and a mouse.
- Got a Gotek inside with plans to either revert to the original floppy drive and put a boot selector inside the Amiga or maybe use the floppy drive externally. Also probably should replace the case as it's painted sloppily.
Phones
Honor Magic 8 Lite
- Replaced the Edge 30 Neo as screen and battery started to die.
- It's annoying in some places (changes to OS mostly, some bloat that was mostly removable) but it's got a good battery life and it's not annoying enough to return it.
Motorola Edge 30 Neo
- Replaced G8 Plus when RAM wasn't enough for daily use.
- 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage. Sadly no microSD slot.
- Screen got cracked few months ago when I dropped it at the train station. *facepalm* Need to get that fixed.
Lenovo Moto G8 Plus (depreciated)
- Previous main phone, Android 9 (waiting for 10). The screen resolution is kinda weird, mostly because notch and stuff.
- 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage + 128GB microSD card for all my music.
- It got a really nice 48MP (effective 12MP) camera, doing pretty nice looking shots with it.
Nokia 6 (depreciated)
- My (previous) new main phone, Android 9 (was 8.1). It's so awesome, and this fingerprint scanner is quite comfy.
- 3GB of RAM, I don't use half of it most of the time.
- 32GB of internal storage, no need for MicroSD now.
Lenovo Moto G3 (depreciated)
- My (previous) main phone, running LineageOS. A little broken front, but touch and display is still working perfect.
- 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory
Consoles
Sony PlayStation 2
- Silver Phat model, borked DVD drive. Got a Network Adapter from Japan, FreeHDBoot is helping with the broken DVD for now.
- Silver Slim model, no DVD drive.
- Games list.
Microsoft Xbox 360
- Got it really cheap, 250GB HDD model, including Kinect and one wireless controller.
- Came with no games, but modded.
- Mostly played Skate 3, but also some other games I got for it.
Nintendo Wii
- Black "Family Edition" model. Got it from BluRaf, with three Wii Remotes (one with Motion Plus), Nunchuck, Classic Controller Pro, plastic Mario Kart wheel and component cable.
- Softmodded, managed to get USB Loader working, connected 120GB SSD with SATA->USB adapter.
- Games list.
Nintendo Super Famicom
- Imported straight from Japan, it's only slightly yellowed but it doesn't really matter to me. Two controllers, Super Game Boy, I got the mouse for Mario Paint later too.
- Nice console to play Street Fighter II, Puyo Puyo, Bomberman.
- Games list.
Nintendo Switch
- Newest addition to the collection, got the v2 model (non-OLED) at the good price I would say, considering all accessories included and not much wear on it.
- It's interesting to have a current generation console, I'm planning to get some of the previously released games as well as look for interesting new releases (hopefully as little digital as possible).
- Games list.
Nintendo DS Lite
- Pretty while model, not missing stylus or SLOT-2 dust cover. Works good, original battery still holding charge.
- Got a flashcart, planning to get some games in boxes.
- Games list.
Nintendo GameBoy Micro
- Silver model, problems with power switch and overall bad condition.
- I should probably just replace it with AGS-101 model GBA SP.|
- Games list.
Playstation Portable
- Bought from a friend, the 2000 model. Need to replace the battery as it haven't swolen, but doesn't hold charge for too long.
- Got the camera attachment, UMD drive is working and I got some UMD Video discs.
Playstation Vita
- Bought rather cheap last year, OLED model that had a low battery cycle count and came with SD2Vita already installed in the slot.
- Modded for emulation (PS1/PSP through Adrenaline, some other consoles through RetroArch). Really nice hidden games for the system too, which was kinda unexpected.
Gameboy
- The famous DMG brick, found it for sale on a convention for a rather nice price.
- All buttons work perfectly, nothing is missing and it looks like it wasn't used at all in those 30 years (probably restored by previous owner).
- Games list.
Gameboy Color
- GBC I got from my friend recently.
- Came in an aftermarket transparent shell with a Pokemon screen protector, also got the previous original lime shell.
- Games list.
Audio stuff
iPod Classic 5.5gen
- Rockboxed DAP I got year ago. 30GB model.
- Currently filled with video game soundtracks, need to flash mod it.
SanDisk Sansa Clip+
- Thrift store find, perfect condition with a really good price for this DAP
- Some German used it, and it came with some killer tracks like Bangarang
- Rockboxed, it had the 128GB microSD put in but I had freezes on playback so it's not used right now.
Sony Walkman WM-EX382
- Compact cassette portable I got, bought at the end of 2023
- Serviced by previous owner, new belt etc. Sadly one screw is now stripped.
- I love cassettes (other kinds of physical media too), it's nice to have a portable player for them (now I need a solid home player and a recorder).
Miscellaneous
HP Jornada 520
- Pocket PC, I need a memory card for it.
- SH3 processor, 16MB of storage. Got a CF card for it but currently no way to put any software on it (no serial cable, no way to put software directly on the CF card).
- Windows CE 3.0
